Chief Executive Officer
Jeff believes in the broker channel. Getting ahead of the insurtech revolution, he co-founded ApolloXE to provide Canadian brokers with product, technology, and digital marketing enablement. He carries the vision of an industry where computers do the work so people can build relationships. With a background as a broker and strong insurance industry fundamentals, Jeff empowers producers and brokerages to reach their digital potential.
Jeff was Insurance Broker Magazine Top 10 Under 40, and recipient of the Insurance Business Magazine Young Guns Award in 2018. He writes professionally for several publications including the Edmonton Journal, Vancouver Sun and The Province.
Head of Content
Content is king. David is an award winning journalist with experience as editor and reporter in national publications. After supporting print media organizations in their transition to digital, he was headhunted
to apply his skills in insurance. He has successfully structured content optimization and lead generation strategies for a large insurance brokerage group, achieving first page ranking on hundreds of relevant keywords that drive large amounts of targeted traffic. He has experience developing tone and messaging for brands created to target specific industry verticals. At ApolloXE David supports producers by downloading their expertise into valuable content like whitepapers and blog articles, combined
with distributing it to prospects, clients, and association members.
He continues his journalism career as a writer for publications such as the Vancouver Sun, National Post, and others, and is also a licensed insurance broker.
Chief Technology Officer
As a senior software engineer and technical director with experience managing large development teams, Justin has seen and done it all. Proficient with all aspects of product development from UX, design and front end development to backend API development, DevOps, and QA. Notable projects include heykuri.com (Mayfield robotics), Fathomsys. com (Bluetooth Location Tracking), and Pokemon.com.
At ApolloXE he is responsible for establishing company’s technical vision, platform architecture for scale, security and data integrity.
Head of Broker Engagement
Margo developed strong underwriting principles at one of Canada’s largest MGA’s. Bringing her experience to ApolloXE as Head of Broker Engagement, she applies her expertise to help brokers enhance their digital offerings.
Along with the rest of the team, Margo recognizes the opportunities for the insurance industry when brokers are empowered to compete on a new frontier. By developing new products, answering product specific questions and offering feedback and support, Margo helps the broker achieve the success they envision.
Head of Broker Academy
Insurance broker with 100% year over year book growth and achieved highest national score on Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker license exam in 2015.
As a serial entrepreneur Jack founded Diversified Education Group (online K-12 tutorials and insurance licensing courses) and OpenHQ (pop-up coworking spaces). He also is an experienced insurance content developer for Insuranceopedia.com.
Lead Software Developer
Corey is a full stack developer with a passion for writing beautiful code. Coming from a background in the high volume world of AdTech, he has a history of building projects designed to scale and loves turning business ideas into working products.
Along with the rest of the team, Corey sees big potential in innovating the Canadian insurance landscape through technology, and is excited to play a key role in developing the future of InsurTech.
Social Media Coordinator
Abigail is a social media expert with experience in graphic design, graphic and business communications, and marketing strategy. She manages several social media accounts across multiple platforms using HubSpot’s marketing automation software.
Abigail supports the team by ensuring customer engagement metrics are aligned with broader sales and marketing strategies. She is also responsible for developing original design content, and monitoring analytics to attract more traffic.
She was a finalist in the American Marketing Association (AMA) Case Competition 2019, and is an AMA and Young Women in Business committee member.
Head of Operations and People
Having excelled in multiple start-up operations roles and as the founder of a successful digital marketing agency, Liz brings her tenacity and drive to Apollo as Head of Operations and People. She is responsible for helping to build a cohesive, entrepreneurial team to refine and execute the strategic priorities across all business channels.
Liz believes in empowering small business owners to achieve more through modernizing and streamlining the insurance purchasing process. She is passionate about building a culture of desire, courage, and support.
Software Developer – Intern
With a well-established foundation in marketing, having worked in London for 4.5 years, Negar recently moved back to beautiful Vancouver and re-trained as a full-stack web developer. Now she’s taking her stellar skillset and and applying it to create beautiful, seamless digital experiences for users.
Negar is excited to be part of the ApolloXE team, shaping the future of Canadian insurance. Through technology, we enable brokers to engage more effectively with their clients; by providing a more simple way to purchase insurance.
Software Developer – Intern
After spending time designing marketing and sales material for print, Jenny decided to bring her skills to the web. With more tools under her belt, she now has a limitless outlet to express her active imagination in designing interactive interfaces.
At ApolloXE, Jenny supports the team as a junior full stack developer. Her main responsibility is to improve user experience by translating complex ideas into simple and elegant solutions. She constantly advocates for the users and seeks out opportunities to improve the platform. Buying insurance should be quick and simple. ApolloXE is proving that it can be!
